Key Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment: Conduct comprehensive initial consultations, reviewing medical history, physical symptoms, and lifestyle factors to establish accurate TCM diagnoses.
- Treatment Planning: Develop and implement individualized treatment plans using acupuncture, cupping, moxibustion, gua sha, and other TCM modalities.
- Clinical Care: Perform safe, precise needle insertion and removal while maintaining a clean, sterile, and comfortable treatment environment.
- Patient Education: Provide guidance on lifestyle adjustments, nutritional support, and preventative care to enhance treatment outcomes and overall well-being.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Active and valid license to practice acupuncture; current NCCAOM certification (or equivalent provincial registration if applicable).
- Education: Master’s or Doctorate degree in Acupuncture or Traditional Chinese Medicine from an accredited institution.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of meridian systems, point location, and TCM modalities (e.g., electro-acupuncture, cupping).
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication skills and a warm, professional bedside manner, with the ability to build trust with a diverse patient population.
