🧭 Education / Program Progression Assistance
To help students successfully complete their studies, TCICTCM provides the following academic progression support services:
- Academic Advising: Academic advisors assist students in understanding the program structure, graduation requirements, and course selection.
- Program Planning Support: All students may schedule appointments with the Academic Office to plan a suitable course load and avoid delayed graduation or course repetition.
- Academic Probation Follow-up: For students with unsatisfactory academic performance, the institution proactively offers improvement suggestions and academic support resources.
- Graduation and Licensing Exam Preparation: TCICTCM offers board exam review sessions to help students prepare for the licensing exams administered by the College of Complementary Health Professionals of BC (CCHPBC).
- Instructor Communication: Course instructors provide students with their institutional email address, enabling students to ask questions and receive academic guidance directly from their teachers.
📚 Learning Support Services
To enhance learning outcomes and help students overcome academic challenges, TCICTCM offers the following services:
- Book Club: Students are invited to join our clinically oriented book club, where each session focuses on case studies drawn from classical or modern texts in acupuncture and herbal medicine. Through guided discussion, participants analyze real or hypothetical clinical scenarios, encouraging critical thinking, diagnostic reasoning, and collaborative interpretation of traditional medical principles.
- Learning Resource Centre: The school library offers a collection of textbooks, e-journals, and recorded lectures for student use.
- Learning Platform Orientation and Technical Support: Guidance and support are provided for using Google Classroom.

To support both local and international students in adapting to life in Vancouver, TCICTCM provides:

table and anatomical models
– On-Campus Clinic: A fully operational TCM clinic for student clinical
internships under licensed supervision
– Learning Resource Area: Study tables, and Wi-Fi available to students
– Library: A curated selection of Chinese medicine classics, English-language
journals, and textbooks
– Student Lounge: A space with microwaves, hot water, and seating for rest and
peer interaction

To ensure student well-being, the college
provides and promotes the following resources:

“Our programs are NOT eligible for the Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP).
🧭 Orientation Program for New Students
TCICTCM provides a comprehensive orientation
program for new students to support their academic, social, and practical
adjustment. Orientation is conducted either in-person or online during the
first week of the semester and includes:
– Welcome from leadership and faculty
– Overview of academic expectations and student responsibilities
– Introduction to college facilities and student services
– Review of key policies (attendance, conduct, dispute resolution)
– Health insurance, safety, and emergency information
– Community and cultural engagement opportunities
– Q&A and student networking session
Each student also receives an Orientation Package with all relevant policies
and local resources.
🚨 Critical Incident and Crisis Management Policy
TCICTCM maintains a formal Critical Incident and Crisis Management Policy to ensure student and staff safety during emergencies.
